Its annoying that food outlets in Kuching nowadays like to use disposable fork, spoon and worst of all, the bamboo chopsticks. very disgusting as some are very badly made. some looks like it has green fungus on it.
So decided to get one set of travel utensils set. Cannot find in whole of Kuching. Then found it at Trainbows, at the spring Kuching. top floor, opposite MBO.

Comes with proper packaging and with travel bag too. very good quality.

Screw on the 2 pieces and turn into a normal chopsticks ! Voila !

See! Can hold the whole piece of pork !
How much? less than RM10.00 only

After having my breakfast, asked the noodle stall lady for directions to “parkcity”.
I was told, that it was not in a “walkable” distance, so go take a taxi”. Before I did, I went around exploring the places around the hotel.
Just nearby to the “Capital Cafe & Restaurant” kopitiam. I saw this temple. Its like a mini mart underneath the temple which I find to be odd.

Temple

Greens!

Old Man
This old man was selling “red packets” infront of the temple.
I didn’t “donate” anything and yet took the photo of him there.

Temple
Sorry, but I don’t know the name of the temple. This is the photo shot from across the street. Much better view

Dirty Shore
Right across the road, I walk towards the Bintulu waterfront. Overall the water looks clean, fishing vessel all over. But the shore..its abit sad to see some rubbish there. I even see electronic waste there. Refer to the photo.

Big Pedestrian crossing , I like!
Bintulu drivers seems to be civilized compared to some drivers in Kuching. At least for the day I was there. In Kuching, be prepared to be knock down by cars at pedestrian crossing especially at Waterfront, Sarawak Plaza and the Cat Statue. They have no respect for pedestrian crossing sometimes. In Bintulu, not much people passing by but still the drivers respect the law of the pedestrian crossing.

My flight from Kuching to Bintulu was at 6.30pm and reached Bintulu at around 7.50pm. The airport was rather similiar to what we have in Kuching. Same structure, just smaller scale. Went to the taxi counter and got myself a coupon. Paid RM35.00 for the trip to my hotel, Kintown Inn. Was quite impressed with the hotel. Don’t let the name “inn’ fool you. Its actually a nice cozy “hotel” with all the things you need ( please read the previous post).

Kintown Inn Hotel
Anyway, woke up at 8am in the morning. Took a photo of the room. Yes, its messy.
. 8.30am, I went down to hunt for breakfast. I had an aerial overview look from the hotel, was trying to see which direction to go. Nothing much on the right side of the hotel, So i proceeded with the left. Walk straight down and I found a kopitiam. Always wanted to try the noodle there which is said to be good. Ordered the “wantan mee” but with no wantan. Cost about RM2.30. Not too bad.
After my breakfast, i continue exploring part of Bintulu town.. (more posting will be added later)
