Photoborneo.com – Major overhaul
Few days ago, I received a notification that my server usage surged up to 40%, hogging the shared server hosting environment, affecting other websites. But thank goodness, the server people did not shut down my sites immediately and warned me beforehand instead.
I was given the option either to shutdown the website or upgrade it to a dedicated server which might cost me RM5000 a year. Since its not a money making website, I am not able to commit to that investment from my own pocket.
I was already making an expansion plan for photoborneo.com, but just didn't have the time to do it. AND THEN this thing happened, so I guess it was the right time and a sign to force me to proceed with the project. The old system of photoborneo had many problems. the content management system was prone to hackers and crawler spam bots. So, I figured that I might use a more established forum system, phpbb.
This time, i put in alot of my time into understanding how to use and configure it. Slept at 3am nightly rushing for this to be done. Done modification, color layout, etc
this is the new logo for PB. I paid good money for someone to design the logo. can't do it myself.
Anyway, Finally today, I pre-launch the website. http://forum.photboroneo.com , announced it in the main site. Requesting old and new members to migrate over. Hopefully to gain their support.
Kong Jiao Wuey aka Talk Bird
A classic example of this "kong jiao wuey" in teochew. It means talk bird.
The article features saying the consumer ministry urges the public to stand for their consumer right and come forward to complain.
But there wasnt any word on where and how the f* to do that. Like a bird talk, its just nice to hear but no actual useful content. The whole article is just rubbish and a waste of my 2 mins of my life which i can never get back.

Kuching festival food fair 2010
Went to the food fair at dewan masyarakat last night. Was quite please with the changes this year. Not the usual old stalls selling the same thing every year though you still find alot of taiwam sausage and teochew oyster omelette.
I tried one of the stall selling sausages. Ordered sweet pork sausage and italian chili sausage. Aint spicy at all. Also a pork burger. Fails. Felt cheated.
